Draper

Draper city is located south of Sandy City, approximately 20 miles south of Salt Lake City.  It is nestled against the Wasatch Mountains to the east and Traverse Mountains to the south.  It is a growing community offering variety in types of homes or properties you prefer.  What started as a farming community has blossomed into a beautiful area offering some of the larger and new homes in the valley.  It includes properties which offer more land for those who like to own a little more property. It offers a beautiful setting of the Wasatch Mountains with access to many trails for activities and views of the surrounding cities.

Draper has great schools included in the Canyons School District  which include 3 Elementary Schools, 1 Middle Schools, and 1 High Schools.  Among the public school district are many other Private or Charter schools to choose from starting at grades K through High School.

There are over 35 parks throughout the community great for picnicking, exercising, sports activities, and just relaxing.   Draper Recreation Center offers an outdoor pool to enjoy during the summer months.   Draper also offers a public library which is great for families with young children or the avid reader.   There are also 80+ miles of trails available to those who love to hike, bike, and horseback ride.

Draper city offers 2 Golf Courses; South Mountain Golf and Hidden Valley Country Club.  Boondock’s Fun Center is a great place for fun family activities.  Cowabunga Bay is a outdoor water park, a great place to spend a hot summer day.  The Living Planet Aquarium is a wonderful fun and educational place to visit. Visit the Cinemark Movie theaters to catch the latest movies.

Draper has easy access to Interstate-15 and Trax Light Rail system running all the way to Downtown Salt Lake City with stops at other cities along the way.  

Draper Peaks and Draper Crossing are major shopping centers located on 12300 south in  Draper close to the interstate.  These shopping centers offer every kind of store you would need plus many restaurants and fast food places.

Draper offers a Flight Park which is a popular launch area for those wanting to try paragliding and hang gliding. It is located at the southern end of Draper at the “point of the mountain”
